Roland Larsson
Prof. Roland Larsson is the acting chair professor at the Division of Machine Elements, the tribology research group at LTU since 2009. The group includes 15 senior researchers and 20 PhD-students. Roland Larsson has supervised 20 PhD-students to their doctoral degree and he has published 96 journal papers in peer-reviewed international journals. All in the field of tribology. Roland Larsson has 25 years of experience in teaching on the master level. Courses he has taught are tribology, machine components, dynamics, hydraulics, and engineering teamwork project courses. Recently he made pedagogical development of one of his courses by introducing a combination of the Flipped classroom concept and Continuous assessment. Roland Larsson has, furthermore, long experience of academic leadership and administration. He is currently the Dean of the Engineering Faculty at LTU.
Nazanin Emami
Prof. Nazanin Emami has multidisciplinary education background in Dentistry (1994), Material science (2004) and Docent in Tribology (2011). She leads own research group (3 MsC & 4 PhD candidates, 2 postdocs, 2 guest Prof). Based on her main research field she established design and processing of multifunctional polymer composites laboratory at LTU in 2009 with main activities in the field of Biotribology. She published >35 peer-reviewed journal papers and participated in > 40 conferences. She is the program leader for TRIBOS program at LTU and director of the national research school in Tribology (2011-). Since 2011 she is active as teacher repetitive in University Appointment Board. She is teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate courses: biotribology, polymer composites, manufacturing and processing of the polymeric materials, biomaterials.
Braham Prakash
Prof. Braham Prakash is working in field of tribology for >40 years both in academia and industry. He has been fellow of Japan Society for Promotion of Science, Visiting Professor and Researcher at Tokyo University of Science, Indian Institute of Technology Ropar and Tokyo Institute of Technology. His research interests are: high temperature tribology; friction and wear of various materials; boundary lubrication and solid lubricants; surface engineering and tribology of machine components. He supervised 16 and co-supervised 5 PhDs. He published 93 international journal papers. He is teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels: tribology, surface engineering, machine components, failure analysis, friction and wear, materials for tribological applications, design of lubricated contacts and advanced topics on friction and wear.
